A mechanical bar screen employing polyester lifting belt to operate
the raking mechanism. Suitable for coarse screenings removal at the inlet of sewage pumping stations, wastewater treatment plants and municipal sewage which would damage or interfere with the plant process or equipment.

The FSS is long established as a leading solution for the removal of solids and fine particles from flows and, in particular
where difficult materials are involved. The screen consists of evenly spaced stepped lamellas where the solids build up onto it and lifted step by step up the screen to be discharged at the top.

Functions to remove coarser grit and silt particles from the incoming sewage. Preferably located after a coarse bar screen. Grit removed by the vortex grit unit can be pumped into a Grit Classifier.
